Position Details

  • Role: Pet Care Attendant
  • Status: Part-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Weekend shift requirements either 7:15 am-2 pm or afternoon shifts 4-7 pmOpening shifts at 7:15 am

We are looking for a part-time Pet Care Attendant at Turkeyfoot Family Pet Center to help us provide the best care for pets staying at our hospital. This position supports pets staying in both our hospital and kennel.

Our team is fun-loving and committed to delivering the highest quality care to our clients and patients. We are looking for someone who loves animals, enjoys being part of a team, and has a customer service background.

Among other responsibilities of a Pet Care Attendant:

  • Walks dog
  • Cleans dog runs/cages and cat cages
  • Care for Doggie Daycare Dogs
  • Feeds pets in the kennel
  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kennel area
  • Administering oral medications
  • Observing animal behavior/health conditions and reporting changes to the technicians or doctors
  • Keeping accurate records and logs

We’ll love your passion, eagerness to grow and learn, and ability to work well with a team. In addition, there are also some other qualities that are important to us.

These qualities include:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patient and caring personality
  • Ability to follow instructions properly
  • Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, etc.)
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
