Position Details

  • Role: Pet Care Attendant
  • Status: Part-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Typical shifts are 7 am - 9 am and/or 4 pm - 6 pm. Weekend and holiday availability is required

What You’ll Do

  • Animal Care & MonitoringProvide food, water, and clean bedding for all animals as directedAdminister medications under veterinary supervision following proper training and established protocolsMonitor appetite, behavior, urination/defecation, and overall comfortReport any abnormalities or concerns promptly to the veterinary staffSafely handle dogs and cats of varying sizes, temperaments, and medical conditions
  • Sanitation & Facility MaintenanceClean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and common areas during designated shiftsLaunder bedding, towels, and clinic laundryFollow all hospital cleaning protocols and infection control standards
  • Exercise & EnrichmentWalk dogs (including those that may pull strongly on leash)Provide supervised playtime and enrichment activities as appropriateEnsure safe handling of animals that may be fearful, stressed, or fractious
  • Client & Team SupportAssist with patient intake and discharge for boarding/groomingSupport reception duties as needed, including answering phones during Sunday evening pickup hoursCommunicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of careMaintain flexibility to support changing clinic needs, including shift adjustments and cross-functional tasks

What Our Pet Care Attendants Bring
