Pest Control Service Technician

Salary: Up to £30,532 per annum

Location: Central London

Take the Next Step in Your Career with a Leading Environmental Services Company

Cleankill Environmental Services is looking for a motivated and dependable Pest Control Service Technician to join our friendly and successful team, working across Central London.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with previous pest control experience who can bring their existing knowledge and skills to the role. However, we're also keen to hear from applicants outside the industry who have relevant transferable experience, a practical approach to work and a genuine interest in developing a career in pest control.

Founded in 1995, Cleankill Pest Control has grown from small beginnings into one of the UK's leading private pest control companies, providing customer-focused services to hundreds of clients across London, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Bristol and beyond.

Our aim is simple: to deliver the professionalism and quality of a large organisation while retaining the ethos of a friendly, local business. In 2019, we were named Company of the Year at the British Pest Management Awards, competing against much larger, well-known brands.

Whether you're an experienced pest control professional looking for your next opportunity or someone from a different hands-on industry ready for a new challenge, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and develop your career. Full training will be provided where required.

As a van-based technician, you'll have your own service area, manage your daily schedule and build relationships with customers while working alongside experienced professionals.

About the Role

As a Pest Control Service Technician, you'll be responsible for helping customers manage and prevent pest issues, including rats, mice and a variety of insect pests. You'll work independently in the field, deliver excellent customer service and represent Cleankill professionally at every visit.

Your responsibilities and benefits will include:

  • Full-time employment as a Pest Control Service Technician.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Paid overtime opportunities.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company vehicle for work-related duties.
  • 5% commission on converted new-business leads.
  • Company incentive and bonus schemes.
  • Pension scheme after six months.
  • Full training and ongoing development for candidates who need to build their pest control knowledge.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have previous pest control experience, along with an understanding of industry practices and customer requirements. However, we welcome applications from people outside the industry who can demonstrate the right skills and potential.

You could be a great fit if you have experience in areas such as maintenance, construction, roofing, facilities management, field service or another practical, customer-facing role.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, hardworking and motivated to develop their skills.
  • A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with customers.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider team.
  • Happy working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working at height, or willing to undertake the necessary training.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling equipment and materials.
  • Organised, observant and attentive to detail.
  • Safety-conscious, with a commitment to following procedures and industry standards.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • The ability to follow instructions, work safely and manage responsibilities effectively.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in pest control or a related environmental services role.
  • A recognised pest control qualification, such as RSPH Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience in a practical, technical, maintenance or field-based role.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing your own workload.

Why Join Cleankill?

At Cleankill, you'll be part of a successful, customer-focused business that values professionalism, teamwork and high-quality service.

If you're already an experienced pest control technician, this is an opportunity to build on your existing skills and take the next step in your career. If you're looking to move into pest control from another industry, we'll consider your transferable experience and provide the training you need to succeed.

We're looking for the right person, not just the right background. If you're dependable, customer-focused and ready to develop your career with Cleankill, we'd love to hear from you.

At Pest Control Partnership, our people are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and empowered to succeed.
