Definition
To coordinate resident involvement (to include public speaking) and cooperation in the implementation of health and safety procedures as it relates to pest control management. Coordinates pest control management systems including contractor procurement and scheduling, tenant notifications, monitoring and tracking. To assist as needed with the Housing Authority’s Inspection Program; Tenant Based Rental Assistance and other Public Housing and miscellaneous rental assistance programs. Employees at this level receive occasional instruction or assistance for new or unusual situations and have a general understanding of the operating procedures and policies of the Housing Authority. To coordinate and participate in office support functions in support of the goals and objectives of the area of assignment; and to provide information and assistance to the public regarding Housing Authority policies and procedures. To support the members of the management team in various administrative and pest control areas.
To coordinate lock, key and fob systems: to include key and core supply for CSHA portfolio, managing fob systems at Senior Disabled buildings and CSHA offices.

Essential Functions Statement
Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions
1) Coordinate resident involvement and cooperation in pest control to ensure best possible outcomes for all concerned.
2) Coordinate pest control management systems including contractor procurements and scheduling, tenant notifications, monitoring and tracking.
3) Receive calls and recorded requests from maintenance personnel and tenants concerning reports of possible infestation and need for treatments.
4) Identify high priority pest control issues; ensure timely responses that comply with HUD regulations.
5) Ensure communication to appropriate staff for review and response; manage the flow of information between departments.
6) Provide weekly updates on current treatments to appropriate staff and vendors.
7) Coordinate and ensure proper preparation of tenant units for maximum effectiveness of the treatment(s).
8) Accompany pest control technicians on treatment calls as needed; monitor quality of work provided by vendor(s).
9) Keep accurate weekly records of the treatment(s) utilized at each specific location.
10) Attend tenant/ building meetings.
11) Keep abreast of current trends and industry standards related to procedures and protocols for the various treatments utilized.
12) To assist in a variety of duties in support of the Housing Authority’s Inspection Program to protect the health, safety and welfare of the Housing Authority’s residents.
13) To assist with the inspections of homes, apartment buildings, and other properties; ensure compliance with applicable housing standards, zoning, and environmental health codes, ordinances and regulations; issue notices of violation as required; document all actions and notices; perform follow up inspections to ensure compliance.
14) Potentially meet with residents and landlords in violation of regulations; explain actions required to comply with regulations.
15) Respond to reports alleging HQS violations including weeds, unregistered/inoperable vehicles, litter and graffiti; interview complaints and witnesses; take photographs of violations and document activities through computer input; conduct research to determine ownership of property and the approved conditional uses of property; process certified letters.
16) Perform field inspections; perform safety and vandalism checks.
17) Respond to public inquiry in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; explain policies and procedures to the public.
18) Required to be on standby for adverse situations as deemed necessary by Executive Management.
19) Affirm actions and documented incidents in court and at administrative proceedings as necessary.
20) May lead the work of co-workers, temps and seasonal personnel; ensure safe work practices; review completed for work accuracy, proper work techniques and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
21) Assist with other department operations as needed and as directed by management.
22) Ording access supplies and managing on call key core box. With the help of the Purchasing Analyst.
23) Preparing new move in access as needed (cutting keys, logging access information for CSHA portfolio, fob access management).
24) Scheduling with Maintenance staff lock changes and vacant lock changes.
25) Managing the new access system.

Experience
- Possess intermediate computer skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office suit, including Excel. Ability to adapt to various software programs specific to Housing Authority operations.
- Possess a minimum of one year experience in the maintenance, pest control, or related field.
- Possess a minimum of one year experience of HQS enforcement program experience.
Training
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (Diploma or GED).
License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
