ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Multi-Combination (MC) Operators is to safely and efficiently operate MC combinations and other heavy equipment such as vehicle mounted cranes as used by Qube Energy as part of its operations. Local AND Linehaul opportunities available, in a new and modern fleet!

Hourly Rate: $42.40 p/h + the opportunity for overtime

Allowances Overnight, Dangerous Goods, Crane Allowance, and Meal Allowances

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficient and Safe operation of vehicles
  • Conduct pre and post work vehicle checks
  • Report any defects in a timely manner
  • Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the completion / signing of cartage dockets and service requests)
  • Follow appropriate work instruction and company procedures
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
  • Undertake supervision work when directed
  • Take good care of vehicles/plant under your care
  • Compliance with all WA Main Roads / NHVL heavy vehicle operating guide lines
  • Compliance with WA Main Roads / NHVL fatigue management
  • Compliance with loading requirement relating to axle weights and adhering to vehicle specific permits
  • Compliance within National Load Restraint Guidelines
  • Compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Management of dangerous goods compliance and ensuring correct segregation, when required.
  • Professional conduct both at Qube, vendors and customer managed facilities
  • Basic Preventative maintenance of Equipment under your direct, daily control.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Multi-Combination (MC) Driver licence
  • Road DG licence – Highly regarded
  • High Risk Forklift ticket - Highly regarded
  • Crane Operator – Highly regarded
  • Appropriate licence class for any other vehicles operated
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to safe task resolution
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
