Annual Salary: $38,436.58

Paid Bi-Weekly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Web-based programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a Human Resource Department and/or experience with the People First system.
  • Experience creating and maintaining official files.
  • Experience performing administrative office support functions

This position reports to the Personnel Services Supervisor, and provides professional administrative support, specific to the functions within the Human Resource Office.

Creates and maintains the FDVA’s official personnel files for current and termed employees. Includes file review and coordination with HR liaisons in compiling required documentation.

Performs routine data entry and queries using People First (State of Florida’s Human Resource Information System).

Responsible for employment verification and employment reference requests.

Provides administrative support to Human Resource staff as needed.

Receives, organizes, and distributes mail.

Responsible for tracking record retention schedules for official personnel files.

Keeps the Human Resource Officer (HRO) informed at all times of all new and/or unusual situations.

Performs other related duties as assigned, required and/or necessary to complete the responsibilities of the FDVA Human Resource Office.

This position is in the Select Exempt Service system.
