Job Description

& Objective

The Personalisation Expert is a role that contributes to setting up, maintaining, and optimizing existing functionalities within the remit of the Digital Services systems as required to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations. The role forms part of a team that encompasses the production lines within the Authentication business unit. The team collaborates closely with the digital services lead, other engineering departments, IT, process leaders and FLMs, amongst other stakeholders by providing technical support and highlighting ways to improve Quality, Cost and Deliveries whilst respecting the core company values.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

Individual

  • Provide and maintain variable printing software, programs, and hardware-interfaces.
  • Maintain digital services applications and scripts as required.
  • Maintain the virtual catalogue of all equipment within the responsibilities of the Digital Services in both software and hardware spheres.
  • Generate test cases, capture output data, and document scenarios for applications under the responsibility of the Digital Services team.
  • Administer and control the process flow of secure and sensitive customer data.
  • Maintain and update databases and systems that serve to fulfil production and customer requirements.
  • Generate printing data files and delivery manifests.
  • Extract production log files to provide traceability information and any insights to other departments.
  • Create, maintain, and optimise camera inspection modes and models to minimise false negatives and false positives to ensure product output is within specification.
  • Maintain the alignment of camera inspection capability across different machines.
  • Create documentation to capture all knowledge on processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Record entries in the machine intervention log.
  • Provide technical training as required.
  • Provide handovers to ensure continuation between different time frames.
  • Support Digital Services team in providing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support NPI and R&D trial requirements.
  • Support in new equipment validation processes.
  • Assist and support the business in any technical areas.
  • Take initiatives to undergo any relevant training courses
  • Complete objectives defined at all levels (individual, team, site & corporate)
  • Attendance of self
  • Report and contribute to resolving Safety and Security near miss reports.

Division

  • Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core GRS, brand protection and PC security propositions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision-making provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle.
  • Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division.
  • Contribute to maintain OEE at target levels.
  • Contribute to deliver to customer OTIF, without compromising Quality.
  • Embrace Crane Business Systems and and Shared Values.

Position Qualifications

Education:

  • MQF level 5 in ICT or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

  • Acquired knowledge in security printing materials and processes
  • Setting up hardware systems and their associated software
  • Familiarity with camera-based inspection systems
  • Experience integrating hardware and software
  • Basic IT troubleshooting
