
of Performance Expectations:
Responsible for the implementation of one-on-one or small group exercise programs for fitness members. Teaches members proper principles of exercise and proper use of exercise equipment. Evaluates exercise status of /members through fitness assessments.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Associate degree in exercise physiology or related health field; National Personal Trainer Certification. BCLS certification for health care providers required within 60 days of employment.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. ACSM or NASM certified health fitness instructor or personal trainer.
Work Experience:
Required:
Six months experience in fitness and exercise conditioning. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months.
Preferred:
One year experience personal training
