We’re seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Personal Trainer to join our Cape Ann team. This role requires weekend availability and offers the chance to work with a diverse membership base in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
As a Personal Trainer, you’ll empower members of all fitness levels to build confidence, strength, and healthier lifestyles. You’ll create personalized workout plans, provide hands-on coaching, and deliver an exceptional member experience every step of the way.
🏋️‍♀️ What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver customized fitness programs based on individual goals and abilities
- Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and equipment use
- Conduct complimentary fitness sessions and equipment orientations
- Monitor client progress and adjust programs to ensure success
- Be an engaging and supportive presence on the wellness floor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness environment

- Experience in personal training or fitness instruction
- Ability to connect with and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of strength training, fitness principles, and equipment

- Availability to work weekends (required)

Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in physical education or related field preferred
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading classes and activities, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Must be able to lift 45-pound weight plates
- Must be able to work outside when weather permits
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Ability to listen, hear, and discern members & program participants' wants, needs, and interests
- Ability to respond to safety and emergencies
- Ability to demonstrate equipment used for exercise training
