The Salvation Army is seeking a Personal Trainer for the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, Phoenix. The Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is a 147,000sf building with over 20 indoor rooms and spaces including: a chapel with performing arts space, music room, library, computer room, and numerous classrooms; active recreation space with a fitness center, wood floor studio, indoor pool with waterslides and sprays, a gymnasium with three NBA-sized courts, a walk/jog track, and a boxing room; and, a large community gathering hall with a kitchen, dance studio, teen center, wellness center, and more. In addition, there are outdoor fields, an amphitheater, water spray-ground, patio, and plazas. The Kroc Center will be an amazing resource to the community and will fulfill the benefactors’ vision of a community center for arts, education, recreation, spiritual guidance, and wellness…a place for nurturing and developing the mind, body, and spirit.
The Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing users of the facility with a personalized fitness and healthy lifestyle program, which includes assessment of their fitness needs and then prescribing an exercise/lifestyle plan that will assist the users in achieving their goals. The Personal Trainer will also complete any other assigned task as directed by the Fitness Coordinator.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
