Job Description

We're accepting applications now and will begin active recruitment in September/October 2026.

Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination. Multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities, all under one roof, for one membership. We bring together the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full service club, and we deliver an experience that members build their week around. We are the membership members actually use. Everything we do is designed to deliver a premium member experience.

Personal training at Altea is built differently than anywhere else in the industry. The trainers who work here are at the centre of every member's results, and the model is built so they can actually have a career doing it.

A Personal Trainer at Altea does more than deliver sessions. You prescribe. You build member plans, own the Rx appointment process, teach LF3, and coach in the Signature studio. At our top-performing clubs, trainers average 100 hours per month. That number leads the industry and it exists because of the model. Because you do more than train.

This is a role for a complete coach. Someone who programs with intention, coaches with passion, prescribes with integrity, and builds the kind of member relationships that turn first sessions into long careers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and Retain Your Client Book. You consult, you close, you deliver results, and you renew. The infrastructure at Altea gives you every tool to build a full-time career.
  • Own the Rx Appointment. Every new member gets a prescription appointment. You assess, you plan, and you set them up for results. That appointment is where member loyalty begins.
  • Teach LF3 and Coach in the Signature Studio. You bring the same coaching quality to the group that you bring to the individual. Clear cues, real coaching, an experience members come back to.
  • Be a Floor Presence. Visible, approachable, and active. Members who are not yet your clients should feel the same standard from you that your clients do.

WHO YOU ARE

You are here because you genuinely love this work. The coaching, the relationships, the process of watching someone improve. That is what drives you, and it shows in the member experience you deliver.

  • You are a real coach. You program with purpose, cue with clarity, and track results because outcomes matter to you personally.
  • You are hungry to build. You take appointments seriously, follow up with confidence, and understand that a full client book is built through trust and results, not shortcuts.
  • You are versatile. One on one precision and group energy are not opposing skills. You bring both.
  • You hold yourself to a standard and you make the people around you better. Punctual, prepared, professional, and present in every session, every class, and every member appointment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Nationally recognized personal training certification required: CSEP-CPT, NASM-CPT, ACE-CPT, or equivalent
  • Experience delivering personal training in a premium fitness environment is strongly preferred
  • Group fitness or studio coaching experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to build and retain a client base through results-driven programming
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually
  • Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement

WHAT YOU'LL EARN

This role is compensated at a level that reflects the standard we hold and the calibre of person we are looking for. All rates of pay are confidential. Beyond your base hourly rate, you will receive a commission structure tied to your PT performance, a Personal Training education fund, group health benefits, and a complimentary Altea membership.

We are an equal opportunity employer and believe in treating everyone fairly regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, national origin, language, citizenship, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, gender identity, gender expression, record of offences, disability, or any other legally protected factors. Accommodations are available upon request.

AI Disclosure: To support our hiring process, artificial intelligence based tools may be used to assist with screening and assessment activities, alongside human review.

We thank you for your interest; however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
