We are currently seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for Part-Time and Casual positions in a Long-Term Care Home in Shelburne, Ontario

What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Support residents with mobility, hygiene, dressing, grooming, and feeding as required.
- Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the nursing team.
- Follow individualized care plans, facility policies, and established best practices.
- Assist in promoting residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Support meal service and encourage resident independence whenever possible.
- Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards and workplace safety protocols.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative, and positive team environment while maintaining resident dignity and privacy.
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last six months).
- Valid TB Test/Screening.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Experience working in Long-Term Care is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with dementia care, GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approaches), or NVCI is considered an asset.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
