As a not-for-profit organization with over 60 years of experience, we're passionate about empowering people to live their best lives—and we're looking for caring, reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

We're currently seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our team in Newcastle, Mayfield East & Wickham.

Evening shifts available:

Mayfield East

  • Friday: 5:00 pm -7:00 pm

Newcastle

  • Thursday: 5:30 pm -7:30 pm

Wickham

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 7:00 pm -9:30 pm

What you'll be doing:

You'll provide personalized, high-intensity support within clients' homes, including:

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Transfers, hoist use and mobility support
  • Bladder, bowel and catheter care
  • Meal preparation and feeding assistance
  • Household tasks and domestic support
  • Community access using the client's vehicle
  • Completing daily progress notes

To join our team, you'll need

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Prior work reference
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • A caring, professional and dependable approach

  • Flexibility to work short split shifts is essential.
  • All successful applicants complete a paid 3-day induction in Lidcombe.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
