As a Personal Lines Automobile Underwriter, you contribute to the prevention, acceptance or refusal of a risk to be underwritten based on established underwriting guidelines. You take on a technical expert role and provide support to our partners in a call centre environment, where the importance of knowing how to adapt your approach when the situation requires is essential. More specifically, you will be required to:
Provide technical support for projects and complex operational issues related to property and casualty insurance underwriting. Develop underwriting solutions in accordance with current standards and each file’s unique circumstances
Serve as resource person for the application of underwriting rules. Help employees develop their technical skills. Carry out specialized technical studies, research and analysis related to property and casualty insurance underwriting. Submit solutions and action plans. Help practitioners follow your unit’s standards and processes and use its business solutions, tools and systems.

What you bring to the table
College diploma in a related field
A minimum of three years personal lines auto underwriting experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
CIP designation or working towards designation
Experience in property underwriting
Experience working in a call center environment
Intermediate knowledge of coaching techniques
Intermediate knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
Available to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Rotation)
