We are seeing an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of case workups including pre-litigation and litigation. Successful candidates will be proficient in legal software, have excellent communication skills and have a knack for time management.

This is a full-time position that will be onsite in our Milford, CT office location. We are in-office 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in all aspects of litigation from filing of complaint through trial and post-trial
  • Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including:
    • Complaints, answers, and motions
    • Discovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)
    • Subpoenas and deposition notices
  • Manage and track litigation deadlines in accordance with Connecticut court rules
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances
  • Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, expert reports, and discovery materials
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
  • Assist with trial preparation, including:
    • Exhibit preparation and organization
    • Trial binders and materials
    • Witness coordination
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files within Litify
  • E-file documents in Connecticut state and federal courts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury
  • Proficiency in legal software and legal databases (Litify, eCourts, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
  • Relevant understanding of legal research methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies preferred.

Compensation Range: $75,000$85,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
