Personal Care Workers – Support at Home

Part-Time & Casual Roles | Huon, Channel & Kingborough

Huon Regional Care is a leading community care provider in Southern Tasmania. We deliver flexible, person-centred services that help older people live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Our motto, "Life. We are currently seeking Personal Care Workers to join our Support at Home team in the Huon Valley, Kingborough, and Channel regions.

What you’ll do:

As a Personal Care Worker, you will support older people to live safely at home and remain active in their communities. Key tasks include:

  • Providing personal care – showering, dressing, hygiene support, mobility assistance, and help with daily routines
  • Supporting medication self-administration (if trained and authorised)
  • Domestic assistance – light cleaning, laundry, bed making, meal prep, shopping
  • Social support – friendly visits, helping clients attend appointments or social outings
  • Observing and reporting changes in client wellbeing to the care team
  • You’ll work with multiple clients each shift and are paid for travel time between visits. A generous kilometre allowance is also provided.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or similar (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in aged or community care (preferred)
  • A kind, reliable and customer-focused attitude
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Valid driver’s licence, own reliable vehicle, registration and insurance
  • National Police Check (within 3 months of employment)
