We’re currently welcoming new residents at The Orchards Community in Doncaster East and have casual opportunities available for experienced Personal Care Workers to work night shifts!

THE ROLE

Working under the direction of a Residential Care and Services Manager, you’ll deliver hands-on personal care that’s guided by each resident’s individual care plan.

Every day looks a little different, but the focus is always the same: the person in front of you.

  • Deliver personal care in line with each resident’s care plan, supporting their goals and daily needs
  • Listen to residents and take the time to understand what matters most to them
  • Accurately record consumer outcomes in Baptcare systems
  • Build respectful relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the home
  • Report workplace and consumer risks to management promptly and appropriately
  • Attend scheduled training to maintain your skills and compliance

ABOUT YOU

You’re reliable, compassionate, and bring genuine energy to every shift.

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working in a residential aged care facility
  • Genuine passion for caring for older people and supporting their wellbeing
  • Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail
  • Strong team player with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible and positive — comfortable working across a variety of shifts
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proof of working rights in Australia
  • Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
