At Ohio’s Hospice, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families during one of life’s most important moments.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who want more than a job — they want to make a difference. As a Personal Care Specialist, you’ll provide hands-on care, comfort, and companionship to patients while supporting their families and working alongside a dedicated hospice care team.

Your presence matters. The care you provide can bring comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and their loved ones.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to patients, helping with daily activities and comfort needs.
  • Support and encourage family members as they care for their loved ones.
  • Build meaningful connections with patients through attentive, compassionate care.
  • Observe patients closely and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing and care team.
  • Accurately document care and services provided.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the hospice team.
  • Help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and families.

Schedule

  • Part-time: Approximately 24 hours per week
  • Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Weekend: Rotating every-third-weekend schedule
  • Location: Inpatient Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
