The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Personal Care Assistant at Washington Elementary School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position.
This assignment will work directly with students with special needs in a Learning Support classroom, and support other special education assignments as needed.

Monday-Friday scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
7 Hours/Day plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch
190 days during the regular school year (summers, weekends and holidays off)
Starting wages are either $16.69 per hour (approx. $22,197 annual) or $16.79 per hour (approx. $22,330 annual), for new hires to the District, depending upon previous school district experience.
This is a salaried position with a fixed per pay amount disbursed over 24 pays September through August.
The annual salary and payroll disbursements will be prorated based on start date.

2026-2027 Monthly Rates: $115 Individual, $190 Family
OR semi-annual stipend in lieu of health benefits if otherwise insured

In order to be eligible for special education support positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a high school graduate or possess a GED,
AND
1) Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study,
OR
2) Possess an Associates degree or higher,
OR
3) Complete a series of job-based trainings during the first year of employment, and continuing education credit hours during subsequent years
