• Pay rate - $36.05 + Super + Not for profit benefits + Shift loading
• Permanent part-time and casual opportunities

St Catherine’s Residential Aged Care in Bathurst is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team. We have permanent part-time (Night Duty) opportunities available for motivated carers who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, respectful, and individualised care to our residents. You will play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily living needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance and mealtime support
• Support residents’ physical, emotional, social and cultural needs in line with care plans
• Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, privacy and independence for residents
• Accurately complete documentation, charts and care records in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and other team members
• Comply with organisational policies, aged care quality standards, WHS requirements and code of conduct
About You
You are a caring and reliable team player with a genuine commitment to supporting older people. You demonstrate empathy, professionalism and strong communication skills.
Essential requirements:
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete
• Ability to work under direction and within scope of practice
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of resident rights, dignity and person-centred care
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and quality improvement
• Availability to work across a rotating roster (AM, PM, nights and weekends as required)
Desirable:
• Previous experience in residential aged care
• Dementia care experience
• Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
