POSITION: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Full-time/with benefitsLOCATION: Central Bucks High School West
(Location Subject to Change) AVAILABLE: 2026/2027 School Year COMPENSATION: $20.84* p/hr HOURS:Full-time/10-months/Student days only
Hours 7:10am-2:40pm
Duties include working one-to-one with a student with one or more of the following needs: autism/emotional/behavioral needs/intellectual disability/medical needs/physical needs/grooming and personal care needs/academic needs/organizational and impulsivity needs, in the classroom, specials, lunch and recess. Assist student with daily activities, both academic and social.
*If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay.
Employment contingent upon personal care services being required for the student's individualized educational program.
Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED equivalent required at time of hire (the minimum).Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks,
effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students.
Physical Requirements to work in a classroom environment for extended periods of time including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs and occasional lifting, up to 20 lbs.
