Job Description

Cambrian Credit Union is searching for a Personal Banking Advisor experienced in providing complex credit and deposit advice paired with the ability to identify and educate our members on the value of our products and services, to join our growing team.

As a senior member of the branch team, the Personal Banking Advisor provides leadership and expertise and works closely with members on a day-to-day basis to deliver personalized solutions and maintain solid relationships.

In the role of Personal Banking Advisor, you will

  • Develop and nurture long-lasting relationships with current and potential members.
  • Identify and understand the needs of members and provide financial advice and recommendations on complex credit and deposit services.
  • Develop an effective pipeline of future business opportunities; establish and work an annual sales and marketing plans that include targeting member segments, applying prospecting tactics, utilizing referral networks and sales activity leads.
  • Process a full range of member transactions including, but not limited to opening accounts, debit/credit cards, deposits, lines of credit, mortgages, personal and/or investment loans and related insurance products.
  • Engage the support of Wealth and Small Business Advisors and other internal partners to meet the member’s needs.

Your experience:

  • Post secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business, or an equivalent combination of experience in retail/personal financial services
  • You enjoy building relationships with people and want to provide solutions that simplify their finances
  • 3+ years' experience delivering financial advice on complex credit and deposit services
  • Digital literacy, comfort navigating applications in a digital and mobile environment
  • Proficient in PC applications of Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems and challenges
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities
