Personal Banker

Do you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and learning new things? Central Bank is hiring a Personal Banker to join our Montrose Team. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for helping customers Dream Bigger. Bank Better by facilitating a positive banking experience for all customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all activities related to the opening or closing of various types of accounts and products while ensuring applicable regulations, disclosures, policies, and procedures are observed, and all necessary paperwork is processed accurately.
  • Cross-selling various banking products and services, while ensuring a positive and profitable relationship exists between the Bank and customers and ensuring customers have all appropriate information and applications.
  • Facilitate a positive referral process for customers who are needing loan, merchant, and/or investment services. Including ensuring all referrals are properly tracked.
  • Aid customers in establishing online banking and assist with any problems that may arise, including advising them on how to establish online bill pay and account management.
  • Oversee bulk check order process and handle any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure branch standards are met, including directing lobby and phone traffic, disburse mail, monitoring supplies including printed materials.
  • Develop and maintain customer and client relationships through consistent communication, while striving to grow the customer base with new personal and business accounts.
  • Ensure proper coverage and cross-training through the development of manuals and supporting documentation of key tasks, product knowledge, account management, and customer relations.
  • Provide legendary customer service through assisting customers with account inquiries, balancing, reconciliation, and other functions, while ensuring a prompt and courteous response.
  • Assist in tracking and implementing sales initiatives, scheduled tasks, promotions, products, and referrals.
  • Monitor and meet established accounts, sales, and referral goals.
  • Maintain continuous professional development through related educational and development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position starts at $18.96 and can increase from there depending on experience.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Three years’ experience working for a bank or other financial institution preferred.
  • Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in direct customer service roles and sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop creative, workable solutions to meet customers needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
  • Positive time and task management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
