About the Role
You will provide high level of administration and support to the Department of Diabetes & Endocrinology and to act as a Personal Assistant to the director (or in his absence to the deputy Director) within the policies, procedures and values of the organisation.
You will support the Director and the Diabetes & Endocrinology Manager
You will provide administrative, financial and clinical support to the Director and the team
You will manage business documentation and reporting for the department by coordinating the flow of correspondence, monitoring incoming correspondence and manage hospital systems to ensure the flow of document preparation
You will ensure that the systems to manage information are highly functional, confidential and meet the needs of the Health Service
The salary for the position ranges from HS2 - HS21 ($66,768 - $73,811.92 per annum).

About Diabetes & Endocrinology Department
The SVHM Department of Endocrinology provides inpatient and outpatient care, and consultative services on clinical problems related to diabetes mellitus, general endocrinology, pituitary disorders and metabolic bone disease. It is staffed by a full time Director, a part-time Deputy Director, 18 part time endocrinologists, an endocrine nurse, and a manager of diabetes education services, six diabetes educators, three clinical trial coordinators, two research scientists, three advanced trainee registrars and a resident. The Department actively participates in the teaching program for medical undergraduates, residents and registrars enrolled in advanced training, in clinical and laboratory research in topics related to diabetes mellitus, pituitary disorders, and metabolic bone diseases. Our work is carried out in close liaison with other SVHM units, including the neurosurgery unit, the endocrine surgery unit, the renal unit and the nuclear medicine department.
