Job Description

This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong discretion, and the ability to follow instructions from the MD in a fast-paced laboratory services environment focused on medical device testing, specifically microbiology and chemistry testing.

The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with a leader who values teamwork, respect, and understanding. The PA must be adaptable, maintain confidentiality, and balance both corporate and occasional personal support responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the MD’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
• Screen, prioritize, and manage emails, calls, and communication on behalf of the MD.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, and briefing notes.
• Assist MD in tracking priorities, deadlines, and action items.
• Draft and proofread letters, memos, and reports.
• Organize internal and external meetings, including vendor, regulatory, and partner engagements.
• Conduct small projects as instructed by the MD
• Serve as the primary contact point between the MD and internal/external stakeholders.
• Uphold the MD’s standard of integrity, professionalism, and empathy.

SKILL & COMPETENCY

• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to prepare professional documents, presentations, and reports.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English & Malay.
• Knowledge of laboratory or medical device industry (advantageous).
• Highly discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Empathetic, understanding, and able to adapt to the MD’s working style.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Management, Science, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with professionals at all levels
