Personal Account Manager

FCU Community Financial is seeking a financial services professional to join our team in Powell River as a Personal Account Manager (PAM). The PAM provides a broad range of deposit and lending advice and services to members. The successful candidate will build relationships and a referral network within the existing member portfolio and be responsible for growing the portfolio through our membership.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide personal deposit, investment and lending advice and services to an existing and growing client base. Receive referrals of members and assess the member needs, analyzing and matching products with needs and completing sales; offer registered and non-registered products, such as term deposits and third-party mutual funds, as well as all retail lending products.
• Meet portfolio growth targets by following up with members to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional needs; plan and implement prospecting activities for growth opportunities within the portfolio and membership.
• Generate, implement and develop a referral network in the community and within the portfolio; identify and pursue the potential for marketing and business development activities with portfolio members; actively support and promote branch campaigns and events. May be involved in a local community club to promote the Financial Group in the community.
• Assist the branch in achieving its growth and growth targets. Assist in educating branch employees about key member referrals and identify investment needs.
• Take responsibility for continuous learning to achieve the required knowledge for the position.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
• Active Mutual Funds License.
• Three years minimum sales and financial services experience.
• Education or equivalent experience with Products & Services, Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning and Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending.
• Working toward Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
• Thorough knowledge of account, lending, and deposit products and services, and related policies, procedures and documentation requirements.
