Your career in Permitting

As part of our development activities in the Philippines, we are building a strong Permitting team and are looking for experienced professionals at different levels to support the successful development and execution of our renewable energy projects.

Available positions:

We are currently accepting applications for different levels of experience (from Officer to Supervisor)

Locations:

We are hiring for the following locations:

  • Bulalacao, Mindoro

  • Daanbantayan, Cebu

  • Kalayaan, Laguna

Contract type:

Permitting positions are based in the project area and will be hired under a project-based contract aligned with project development timelines.

The positions will be hired under Acciona Energía and will have access to our range of employee benefits, including HMO and life insurance.

About your role in Permitting

Permitting is a critical function in enabling renewable energy projects to move from development to construction. The team is responsible for securing all required national and local permits, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and supporting the timely progression of project milestones.

The team also plays a key role in managing stakeholder relationships with government agencies, identifying permitting risks early, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal project teams and external authorities.

Depending on the level of the role, responsibilities will range from hands-on permit processing and documentation to coordination and supervision of permitting activities across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities (depending on level)

  • Coordinate day-to-day permitting activities to secure required national and local permits and approvals.
  • Monitor permit applications, schedules, and deadlines to ensure timely submission and follow-up.
  • Identify permitting risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and propose mitigation actions.
  • Maintain accurate permitting trackers, dashboards, and documentation for all active projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (development, engineering, land, construction) to ensure permitting requirements align with project timelines.
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies, including DOE, ERC, NGCP, DENR, NCIP, DAR, LGUs, and other relevant authorities.
  • Support preparation and submission of permit applications and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of regulatory requirements and updates affecting project development.
  • Provide regular reporting on permitting status, risks, and upcoming milestones.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in permitting, ideally within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine permitting frameworks and regulatory processes (national and local levels).
  • Experience coordinating with government agencies and managing multi-step approval processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation and tracking capabilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project development environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and government offices as required.
