We partner with municipalities across the country to provide permitting, zoning, planning, code compliance, development review, inspection, and building safety services. Our work helps local governments serve residents, businesses, contractors, developers, and community stakeholders with consistency, care, and professionalism.
We are seeking a Permit Technician / Zoning Administrator / Planner to support municipal clients in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area Candidates local to Greenville are encouraged to apply. Candidates based in Braselton, Georgia may also be considered, provided they are able to support Greenville-area client needs. Occasional travel to client offices, project locations, or public meetings may be required.
This role may be a good fit for someone with experience in local government, planning, zoning, permitting, community development, inspections support, customer service, administrative coordination, real estate, construction administration, or another public-facing service environment.

In this role, you will help support municipal planning, zoning, permitting, and development review services. You will work with residents, contractors, developers, business owners, design professionals, municipal staff, and Bureau Veritas team members to help keep applications and processes moving.

This position combines public service, organization, communication, and planning support. Some days may be focused on helping applicants. Other days may involve records, research, staff reports, plan review coordination, or public meeting preparation.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, certification, and relevant experience will be considered.
You do not need to have followed a traditional career path to be considered. We welcome candidates with transferable experience, curiosity, and a strong interest in public service, planning, zoning, permitting, and community development.
