What You Will Do: · You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer. · You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder.· You will perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.· You will perform snow & ice operations. MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT: Highway Maintenance Worker 1:Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restrictionHighway Technician 1:Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
