Good Samaritan is a growing not-for-profit, community-based palliative care and hospice in need of a Registered Nurse to bring comfort, compassion and quality care to patients and families during business hours.

 Responsibilities of the Hospice RN include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Appropriately handle calls either by phone or with home or facility visit when necessary or requested.
• Provide education and emotional support for patients and families.
• Must electronically communicate all activity when on-call shift ends.
• Document pertinent calls and visits electronically.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Current Virginia State Board of Nursing License - Required
• Two years experience in acute care, home health, long term care, or geriatric nursing. - Required
• Ability to work independently & capable of dealing with terminally ill patients. - Required
• Virginia driver license, good driving record and reliable transportation. - Required
• Must have computer experience. - Required
