Job Description

Are you a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner that is looking to be a part of an award-winning inpatient team? ChristianaCare is recruiting for a PA or NP to work on our surgical sub-specialty unit at ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital. This position will have a primary focus on the perioperative management and care coordination for orthopedic joint replacement patients, bariatric surgery, short stay elective surgery and other specialties as assigned. This is a full-time day Monday - Friday position with possible weekend rotation.

The selected NP or PA for this position will collaborate with the Center for Surgical Optimization (CSO), the ChristianaCare Advanced Joint Replacement Program and the multispecialty team on 7S and the orthopedic surgeons and other surgical specialty teams to promote high-quality outcomes for hospitalized patients. The NP or PA will have an active role in quality-based efforts to prevent complications, emergency department visits, surgical site infections, and readmissions after discharge.

Requirements:

· Licensed or eligible for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Delaware

· Acute Care NP license required

· Prescriptive Authority or eligibility for the state of Delaware

· DEA registration required

· ACLS required

· Experience as a NP or PA preferred

Annual Compensation Range $119,583.00 - $153,472.00

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
