Job Description

As a Technical analyst for the Investment Performance, Accounts, and Client Services domain, you will execute the product vision by delivering solutions that empower the client to manage investment performance, account data, and client reporting with precision and scale. This is a hands-on execution role and ideal for someone who thrives in translating strategic direction into actionable deliverables.

You will implement and support the rollout of a unified platform that integrates performance analytics, account-level data management, and product information. This platform will enable portfolio managers, client service teams, and analysts to access accurate, real-time insights across accounts, funds, indices, and GIPS composites-while supporting downstream processes like client reporting and compliance. A deep understanding of investment performance data, related business functions, operations, and terminology is essential.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a proven track record in performance measurement concepts, calculation methodologies, account setup, data analysis, and SDLC. They have experience implementing enterprise-grade software solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build a strong data framework for investment and client services.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Product Requirements Translate prioritized features for performance, account and product data into actionable deliverables and configure solutions accordingly.
  • Execute Enterprise Solutions Carry out end-to-end implementation of tools and applications for account setup, product data and performance.
  • Integrate Systems Build and validate connectivity between platforms, account management systems, trade order management, client reporting tools, and data warehouses.
  • Maintain Data Quality Apply and enforce processes to ensure accurate, complete, and timely data across account, product and performance domains.
  • Collaborate to Deliver Work directly with portfolio managers, client service associates, operations teams, and technology groups to produce and present accurate performance measurements, attribution and analytical responses to complex queries
  • Project lifecyle Facilitate projects from start to finish, including gathering/documenting requirements, communicating with development team, and overseeing/assisting with testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Systems knowledge Demonstrate deep expertise in Industry Tools (e.g. Eagle Performance, FACTSET, Optura) and/or proprietary, comprehensive performance management systems
  • Performance Calculation Methodologies (Money Weighted/Time Weighted); Single/Multi Period; Mutual Funds Performance, good domain expertise of data required to calculate Peformance (Account/Securities/Transactions/Cash/Holdings/Classification)
  • Benchmark Management Indices, Index constituents, Benchmark assignment, Custom/Blended Benchmark, Benchmark workflows
  • Account Management Strong understanding of account structures, product hierarchies, and related operational workflows
  • GIPS Composite construction; Data integrity; calculation methodologies; Presentation and disclosure
  • Attribution Standard models for EQ/FI strategies; Selection/Allocation/Interaction effect; Operational workflows.
  • Risk Metrics Core Risk metrics (Ex:Std Deviation; Tracking Error; Sharpe Ratio; VaR; Max Drawdown etc.) Integration with Performance Reporting
  • Passion for product development, technology innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience on project teams in the financial services industry, ideally within a buy side organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Eagle PACE, Opturo or other Performance vendors is a plus
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of data analysis and SQL
  • Strong understanding of asset management operations workflows, including account structures, product hierarchies, and performance measurement
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excels in interpersonal and communication skills, and thrives in collaborative, team-oriented settings
  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL, APIs) and familiarity with cloud-based data and data warehousing platforms like Snowflake is a plus
