Reports To: Vice President Growth Marketing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000

Location: Dallas, TX

Summary:

Mendocino Farms is looking for a Performance Media Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of our full-funnel, digitally led media efforts. This role sits at the intersection of brand and performance—owning campaign planning, channel strategy, media investment, and measurement, while working closely with our agency partners to ensure every dollar works harder.

You’ll be responsible for turning business priorities into smart, data-driven media plans, driving performance across awareness, consideration, and conversion, and building a best-in-class media and analytics engine as we continue to scale nationally.

This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role that partners closely with Brand, Digital, Insights, Finance, and Ops—and plays a critical role in how we grow demand, traffic, and loyalty for Mendocino Farms.

This is a senior individual contributor manager role requiring someone comfortable owning multiple campaigns, managing meaningful budgets, and leading performance across a complex, multi-channel media ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Full-Funnel Media Strategy & Planning

  • Own the development of full-funnel media strategies across digital channels (paid search, paid social, programmatic, video, OLV/CTV, etc.), aligned to brand and business objectives.
  • Translate business goals, campaign priorities, and seasonal moments into clear, effective media plans and investment strategies.
  • Balance brand and performance objectives, ensuring the right mix of upper-, mid-, and lower-funnel tactics.
  • Build channel and campaign strategies that support core business priorities including brand campaigns, menu launches, new store openings, third-party delivery, and catering growth.

Budget Management & Investment Stewardship

  • Own day-to-day management of media budgets, ensuring dollars are allocated for maximum impact and aligned to business priorities.
  • Actively manage sufficiency across channels and campaigns—adjusting investment levels, phasing, and mixes to ensure campaigns are properly funded to perform.
  • Monitor pacing, performance, and ROI, and reallocate spend dynamically based on results, seasonality, and business needs.
  • Partner with Finance and agency teams to support forecasting, scenario planning, and in-flight budget optimization.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Lead day-to-day performance management of campaigns in partnership with agency teams, ensuring strong pacing, optimization, and results.
  • Set clear KPIs, learning agendas, and testing roadmaps to continuously improve performance.
  • Partner with creative and brand teams to ensure media and messaging work together to drive impact.
  • Monitor performance closely and make data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency, scale winners, and address underperformance.
  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously across different objectives, audiences, and channels.

Agency Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day lead for performance media agency partners.
  • Set clear briefs, expectations, and success metrics for agency partners.
  • Lead weekly and monthly performance reviews, ensuring insights translate into action and optimization.
  • Hold partners accountable for strategic thinking, strong execution, testing rigor, and continuous improvement.

Measurement, Analytics & Insights

  • Own media performance reporting and dashboards, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and business relevance.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear insights and recommendations for marketing leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with Insights, Finance, and Digital teams to evolve measurement frameworks, attribution approaches, and ROI understanding.
  • Help build a learning agenda around incrementality, testing, and media effectiveness over time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Digital, Ops, and Finance to align media plans with business priorities and promotional calendars.
  • Support new store openings, menu launches, brand campaigns, third-party delivery, and catering initiatives with thoughtful, performance-driven media strategies.
  • Bring a growth mindset to how Mendocino Farms shows up in market—constantly looking for smarter, more effective ways to drive results.

Requirements

  • 6–9+ years of experience in performance media, growth marketing, or digital media roles, either in-house and/or at an agency, with clear ownership of campaigns and budgets.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent campaigns across channels, objectives, and audiences.
  • Deep hands-on experience across key digital channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic, and video/CTV.
  • Restaurant or multi-unit retail experience required, with direct experience supporting:
  • Third-party delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) and their media ecosystems
  • Catering and third-party catering platforms (e.g., ezCater or similar)
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and optimizing meaningful media budgets against clear performance goals.
  • Experience working with and managing media agencies and external partners.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities and multiple stakeholders.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Strong full-funnel marketing mindset with the ability to connect brand and performance into a cohesive media strategy.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear insights, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Strong budget management and investment optimization skills, including pacing, sufficiency planning, and in-flight reallocations.
  • Comfortable making trade-offs and recommendations to maximize impact within budget constraints.
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate performance, insights, and strategy to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can work effectively with Brand, Digital, Finance, Ops, and agency teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complexity across channels, campaigns, and timelines.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a bias toward action, testing, and continuous improvement.
