Job Description

Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business, uniting four distinct brands—Evri, Evri Premium, a network of DHL, UK Mail and Irish e-commerce specialist Coll-8—to deliver more than 1 billion parcels and letters annually across the UK and to over 200 global destinations. With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers. Driven by our friendly, ambitious and diverse people, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and offer exciting opportunities across the Evri Group.

We’re looking for a Loss Prevention Online Investigator to join our Performance team.

This role plays an important part in identifying and investigating fraud and loss across our network, using data, internal systems and online sources to spot patterns, uncover suspicious activity and help protect our customers, clients and assets.

You don’t need a traditional Loss Prevention background. What’s important is that you bring previous fraud experience, an analytical and inquisitive mindset, and the ability to think outside the box when investigating unusual activity.

What you’ll do

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll investigate live fraud and loss cases while also looking at the bigger picture to identify emerging risks and opportunities to prevent future losses.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out investigations into fraud and loss cases across our parcel delivery network
  • Analysing large volumes of internal and external data to identify suspicious activity, patterns and potential fraud
  • Investigating client escalations and disputes, including cases where customers report parcels as not received
  • Using internal tools, open-source information and social media platforms to support investigations
  • Gathering evidence and producing clear, structured investigation reports and case files
  • Managing investigation cases from initial identification through to actions being implemented and completed
  • Identifying fraud hotspots, emerging trends and new fraud techniques
  • Supporting the National Loss & Claims Performance Manager in improving visibility of fraud, loss and claims across the network
  • Working with Operations, Analytics, Performance and Loss Prevention teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement preventative measures
  • Providing regular updates and recommendations to management on evolving fraud risks
  • Supporting internal or external investigations where cases require escalation to management, legal teams or law enforcement
  • Helping develop fraud awareness, guidance and preventative measures across the network
  • Exploring how new technology, automation and AI can support more efficient fraud identification and investigation

You’ll have:

  • Previous experience or strong working knowledge of fraud, ideally gained over a couple of years in an investigative, analytical or fraud-focused role
  • Strong investigative skills and a naturally inquisitive mindset
  • The ability to look beyond the obvious, spot unusual patterns and think differently about how fraud may be taking place
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
  • The ability to interpret data and turn your findings into practical recommendations and actions
  • Excellent online research and navigation skills, particularly across social media and open-source platforms
  • Strong Excel and wider Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability to produce clear, detailed investigation reports and communicate findings effectively
  • Confidence working with stakeholders at different levels across the business
  • Excellent attention to detail, even when managing multiple cases and competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to work at pace
  • An interest in new fraud techniques, technology and emerging trends

Experience with Databricks would be advantageous but is not essential.

We’re open to candidates from a variety of sectors, so you don’t need previous parcel, logistics or Loss Prevention experience. Relevant fraud experience and the right investigative mindset are the key things we’re looking for.

What we can offer you

  • An agile working environment
  • The opportunity to investigate a broad and evolving range of fraud and loss cases
  • Exposure to teams across Operations, Analytics, Performance and Loss Prevention
  • The chance to directly influence how we identify and prevent fraud across our network
  • Opportunities to explore new technology, automation and AI as our approach to fraud prevention evolves
  • A fast-paced environment where your analysis and investigations can have a genuine business impact
  • Competitive salary, benefits and wellbeing support
