Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Performance Leader to support our production team supervising Assembly and Test area with data driven individual. Reporting to the Process Manager, you will have an onsite 9/80 work schedule in Torrance, CA.

As a Performance Leader, you will:
Identify, implement and measure of short and long term team objectives which comply with the overall organizational strategic plan, motivation and leadership of team members and coordination of support groups to accomplish area objectives.
Through execution of standard work to established processes, assure maximum utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment to provide optimum productivity at the least possible cost to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
Hire external talent and evaluate personnel within team for the purposes of performance management and talent growth and development. Manage all employee relations issues before they become major challenges. Responsible for employee counseling, discipline, and performance feedback. Responsible for creating team goals.
Maintain competent and effective work group by providing technical assistance and instruction, training, development, and motivation. Ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions within the area in order to provide acceptable working environment, limit job injuries, and reduce lost time.
Ensure accurate employee time reporting. Provide good organization/employee relations within areas by administering all personnel policies fairly and consistently.
Contribute to maximum utilization of equipment by comparing available workload against department capacity and where possible making decisions to effectively match load with capacity.
Within Lean Operations Organization, additional responsibilities include
Tier I meeting execution
Tier II meeting member/support
Process adherence; functional process metrics and targets (Tier I and Tier II)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience and six years directly related experience in production environment and previous supervision or team lead experience
Knowledge of functional manufacturing responsibilities and supporting departments (Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Tooling Services and Material)
Possess recognizable and demonstrated leadership skills, exercise good judgment, be well organized and demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
Be able to define and prioritize specific goals and objectives such as reduce inventory and shorten lead times
Be able to effectively build and maintain teamwork (both within departments and with supporting departments, suppliers, and customers)
Leadership experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred qualification:
Data driven individual
Experience in Manufacturing and aerospace industry

Salary Range Transparency:
Torrance, CA $90,000.00–$125,000.00 Annually
