What you'll do

In this role, you'll be supporting the leadership team to plan ahead and deliver our business strategy in line with our long-term goals. You'll also be supporting and implementing bank-wide, divisional and business activities, and engagement agendas such as pay, leadership team operating rhythms and the creation of papers and executive reporting.

This role requires someone with strong expertise in cost and HC management, including forecasting, budgeting, and actual cost analysis. An individual who can identify gaps in booked costs, analyse it against the business target and collaborate across multiple functions to resolve them. The position is dynamic and not driven by standard operating procedures, therefore the analytical mindsetwith the ability to connect the dots the key requirement for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cost and HC forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis incl. driving & governing cost control and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Managing senior stakeholders across verticals / divisions and navigating path to solutions.
  • Making sure performance and business management activities are aligned to the broader bank-wide strategic agenda
  • Supporting areas across the bank in the planning and management of business support activities, projects and processes
  • People planning, including capability, engagement and communications
  • Reviewing relevant MI and providing analysis of data

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with experience of working in a leadership support or business management role. You'll additionally need reasonable knowledge of the customer business, key services and how it interacts with the rest of our business.

We'll also look to you to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cost management or related finance roles; Commerce graduate, CA preferred
  • Strong expertise in cost and headcount forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders with strong communication skills
  • Highly analytical with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
    Proactive, ownership-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
