As part of our Talent Center of Excellence (CoE), the Director, Talent Assessment & Performance is responsible for designing and governing the enterprise systems that define how we assess, develop, and deploy talent.
This role operates as an internal consultant and systems architect, ensuring we have the right talent in the right roles, with clear visibility into performance, potential, and succession across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.
Performance Management Strategy & Governance
• Design and continuously evolve the enterprise performance management philosophy, tools, and processes
• Establish clear standards for performance differentiation and calibration
• Ensure consistency and rigor across all businesses while enabling practical application
• Partner with HR and leaders to strengthen quality of performance conversations
Talent Reviews & Succession Planning
• Lead the design and execution of enterprise talent review processes (e.g., 9-box, talent segmentation)
• Build and maintain top talent pipelines for critical roles
• Provide visibility into bench strength, readiness, and talent risk
• Equip leaders to make objective, data-informed talent decisions
Talent Analytics & Insights
• Define and oversee key talent metrics and dashboards (performance distribution, mobility, retention risk)
• Translate data into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making
• Identify trends and proactively surface enterprise talent risks and opportunities
• Partner with analytics resources to ensure data integrity and usability
Enterprise Talent Systems & Integration
• Ensure alignment across employee experience systems
• Drive a simple, scalable, and consistent talent operating model
• Integrate talent processes into the broader annual business rhythm
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner closely with:
◦ HR Business Partners
◦ Business leaders
◦ Talent CoE peers (Development, Engagement, Culture)
• Serve as a trusted advisor on talent decisions, tradeoffs, and strategy
• Support businesses in applying enterprise frameworks to real-world, business=specific talent challenges
• Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required for the Job
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience in: Talent management, performance management, or organizational development
• Talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce analytics
• Demonstrated ability to use data to influence talent decisions
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capability
Other Skills and Abilities:
• Experience in a multi-site or service-based organization
• Background in talent analytics and HR systems
• Professional certification in HR, OD, or related field
• Strategic thinking with systems orientation
• Data fluency and analytical rigor
• Influence and facilitation
• Talent assessment and calibration expertise
• Change leadership and governance discipline

Physical Requirements:
• Normal Office Work, Data Entry: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
