Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Performance and Business Intelligence Analyst, on a 6.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £169.57 - £223.30 per day

The Performance Business Intelligence Officer will support the Strategy and Performance team by analysing business requirements, developing data pipelines, and producing insightful reports and dashboards that drive service improvement and informed decision-making. The role involves working with SQL, APIs, ETL processes, and Power BI to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions, automate reporting, and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business and customer reporting requirements to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose reports.
  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualisations.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes using SQL and APIs to centralise data within a data warehouse.
  • Streamline and automate performance reporting processes.
  • Develop report layouts, data definitions, and performance measures for statutory returns.
  • Test, troubleshoot and implement new or enhanced reporting solutions.

Qualification:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Evidence of continuous professional development in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Essentials

  • Strong experience developing reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Excellent SQL skills, including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Common Table Expressions (CTEs).
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Strong Power BI development experience.
  • Understanding of data warehousing principles and data modelling.
