Florida Kidney Physicians (FKP), a partner practice of Panoramic Health, is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to join our team at the Brandon Surgical Center. Our outpatient ambulatory surgery center specializes in vascular access procedures that help patients with kidney disease receive the life-sustaining care they need.

What You'll Do
As a Surgical Technologist, you'll play an essential role in supporting physicians and the clinical team before, during, and after vascular access procedures.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for vascular access procedures.
• Position and prepare patients for procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout each procedure.
• Scrub in and assist physicians during vascular access procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
• Monitor the sterile field and immediately communicate any break in sterile technique.
• Perform surgical counts of needles, sponges, and instruments with the Registered Nurse or Radiologic Technologist.
• Track medications and procedural supplies utilized during each case.
• Operate sterilization and diagnostic equipment according to established protocols.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock procedure rooms following each case.
• Transport patients to and from procedure rooms as needed.
• Assist with patient scheduling and discharge activities when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Participate in community education initiatives and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum one-year Surgical Technology certificate or diploma with coursework in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, medical terminology, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization techniques.
• Associate degree from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or certification through AST or NCCT.
• At least one year of operating room or surgical technologist experience.
