We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Infusion team! This is a wonderful opportunity to expand into a high-end outpatient specialty field that continues to grow and evolve. We are looking for an RN who candemonstrateempathy and kindness and who wants to make a difference in the lives of patients. This is an incredibly rewarding specialty wherethe RNplaysan important rolecontributing to the improvement of outcomes as well as patients’ quality of life. Experienced and newgradnurses should apply who will receive personalized training from a certified oncology nurse. We offer flexible working schedules andassistancewith working towards their oncology certification. Duties for the RN will includebeing responsible foradministering antibiotics, biologic infusions,immunotherapyand chemotherapy. The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients and their families following the nursing process, establishedstandardsand practices. They willassistphysicians and other team members in coordinating patient care and function as a resource for support staff (LPNsan. Medical Assistants).
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Accessing the patient for bloods/chemo via central and peripheral lines
Administration of antibiotics, biologicmedicationsand/or chemotherapy/immunotherapy
Provide initial and ongoing patient education prior to each procedure and drugadministration
Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients throughouttreatment
Provide monitoring and continued assessment throughout the infusion treatment and report any adverse reactions tophysician
Schedules patient according to their treatment regimen
Strong triage skills for patient needs throughout their infusion as well as for patient phonecalls

Required Qualifications:
Minimum education:Associate Degree;Bachelor’s Degreeis preferred
Current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse
ACLS andBLS certifiedrequiredupon hire
Infusion experience is aplusbut we will provide training to an experienced RN or newgradnurse.
ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification or willassistcandidate to obtain certification within 6-9 months afterhire
Med Surg/Hospital experience preferred but notrequired
Strong computer skills, EMR experience is aplus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range: $43.61 - $54.52 Hourly
The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
