Responsibilities
Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers. Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions. Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist.

Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience
Required: Minimum 2 - 4 years retail pharmacy experience
Or
Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Preferred: HMO and 3rd party managed care experience

Required: To read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write
information on prescriptions.
Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems
Preferred: Know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist.
Special Skills
Required Operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions.
Math cash handling – able to add and subtract; able to make changes; able complete daily cash report.
Type 20 WPM.
