1. ExaminationsPerforms routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis.Reviews and evaluates requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.Selects appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Magnetic field environment.Follows MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflow expectations.Practices High Reliability Training.Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service. 2. Patient/Family RelationsResponds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. 3. EquipmentIdentifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application. 4. OperationsAssists in organizing and maintaining daily operations. 5. Boston Children's Hospital is a 404-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Boston Children's offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age. (Our services can begin interventions at 15 weeks gestation and in some situations we also treat adults.)
We have approximately 25,000 inpatient admissions each year and our 200+ specialized clinical programs schedule 557,000 visits annually. Last year, the hospital performed more than 26,500 surgical procedures and 214,000 radiological examinations.
