Registered Nurse

PER DIEM

$88.00 PER HOUR

Job Decription:

• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re-assess as per policy.
• Formulated, prioritizes and documents nursing diagnosis consistent with the assessment data.
• Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the patient’s age.
• Ability to respond to critical situations in a fast paced, busy environment.
• Managing the care of hemodynamically compromised patients.
• Ability to revise a plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for daily effectiveness.
• Procedural department knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
• Ability to perform treatments and provide services according to scope of practice.
• Assist with procedures for ASC and In-Patient population.
• Equipment & Environment: Assemble and Prepare equipment and supplies utilized in the endoscopy suite; troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment like endoscopes, processors, and light sources.
• Documentation: Accurately record procedure details, specimen handling, and medication administration in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse in New York State
• Critical Care experience required
• Endoscopy experience preferred
• PACU experience preferred
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS required
• Bachelors preferred
• Basic Arrhythmia course preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods, move heavy equipment, and assist with patient positioning.
• Exposure to infectious materials, radiation, and caustic sterilization chemicals.
