Primary Responsibilities:

• 10% Oversees all Pharmacy Department operations and hourly pharmacy personnel
• 40% Performs professional duties and responsibilities, associated with the processing of prescriptions, to meet the Texas Board of Pharmacy requirements and KSC goal and objectives in a manner that maintains a high level of customer satisfaction
• 10% Ensures prompt and courteous customer service by all hourly Pharmacy personnel
• 6% Responsible for the profitable operation of the Pharmacy Department
• 6% Responsible for the implementation and adherence of KSC policies and procedures
• 7% Responsible for adherence to federal and state Pharmacy laws. May serve as the Pharmacist in charge for licensing agreements
• 6% Responsible for proper ordering and stocking of inventory to maintain patient and clinic availability of medicines while achieving both monthly purchasing expenditures and inventory dollar turns objectives
• 5% Trains hourly Pharmacy Department personnel
• 7% Assists in the issuance of clinic use medications
• 2% Conduct performance appraisal, counseling, and with Pharmacy Director and Human Resource approval, termination of hourly Pharmacy Department personnel
• 1% Attend meetings as designated

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of School of Pharmacy
• Current Texas Pharmacy License
• Proven ability to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties, inform about policies, train, assist with performance appraisals, and approve refunds/expense/returns
• Proven ability to communicate with customers for prescription counseling, handle complaints and problems, assist with questions, and recommend products/services
• Proven ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions
• Stress Tolerance - Proven ability to accurately process prescriptions within the required amount of time
• Flexibility - Proven ability to have a flexible schedule to work variable hours at different pharmacy locations upon request
• Professional appearance
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years Retail Pharmacy experience or APPE Retail Pharmacy experience
• HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care experience
• Proven ability to write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly, accident/injury, Expense, security), maintain logs, complete daily Pharmacy Department personnel worklists, prepare paperwork for bank deposits, complete requisitions, and complete new hire paperwork
• Proven ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions/decimals to calculate gross profit, complete balance sheets, and review information concerning sales performance, sales versus expenses, payroll percentage to sales, and controllable expenses

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
