Job Description

* Provides psychosocial assessment, psychoeducation, clinical intervention, and care coordination to shelter guests through all phases of treatment and follow up. This includes crisis intervention, assessment of acute care needs, and supported referral to internal and external services.
* Provides administrative and clinical supervision to a team of clinicians and clinical casemanagers, and MSW interns, including hiring, scheduling, monitoring, training, and performance evaluation
* Under the supervision of the Director, oversees clinical and clinical case management services within the shelter including intake, assessment and referral, and general service provision.
* Assists Director in the development and implementation of training plans for the Behavioral Health team and shelter staff.
* Ensures clinical staff provide harm reduction services to guests living with co-occurring disorders
* Participates in the development and monitoring of individual service plans
* Utilizes clinical engagement strategies to assess guest interest and willingness to engage in additional services, including mental healthcare and housing, and provide support as guests explore motivation and readiness.
* Assists with overseeing compliance with grant reporting and requirements, including ongoing communication with DMH regarding vulnerable clients in shelter who are DMH-eligible.
* Provides psychoeducational groups for guests
* Attends assigned meetings, case conferences and trainings
* Maintains up to date and accurate progress notes and records, including HMIS.
* Transports clients via program van
* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Master's degree required. LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC required.


Strong clinical skills and understanding of mental health and dual-diagnosis issues.


Experience working with diverse ethnic, racial, and economic populations required. Prior experience with homelessness and substance abuse is helpful.


Familiarity w/ DMH eligibility determination and services.


Supervisory experience preferred.


Knowledge of Boston area social services and mental health agencies.


Strong organizational and communication skills.


Ability to work in interdisciplinary team environment.


Bi-Lingual Spanish speaking preferred.
