Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the HR Plan in areas such as retention, recruitment, compensation, diversity and inclusion and communication.
  • Assist the HR Manager with the implementation of HR programs or initiatives.
  • Provide recruitment support to business units including internal recruitment testing and awarding, and external interviewing and candidate selection as needed
  • Work with HR Manager to support labour and employee relations projects
  • Support Co-op and Campus programs

Qualifications

  • Currently completing a post-secondary program in Human Resources, preferably with Industrial Relations or Business/Management focus.
  • High level of commitment and respect for the role and clients served.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and quick learning capability.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Strong leadership skills with a developing coaching/mentorship mindset.
  • Ability to set priorities, take initiative, and work with little direction.
