At PepperJax Grill, Shift Leaders are the first step into restaurant leadership.

You'll still work alongside the team, serving guests, making great food, keeping the restaurant ready, and jumping in wherever you're needed but you'll also start taking responsibility for leading people and helping run great shifts.

What You'll Do

As a Shift Leader, you'll help restaurant management lead the team and execute great shifts.

You'll:

• Help lead Crew Members during assigned shifts.
• Work alongside the team and jump into service wherever you're needed.
• Set the pace for hospitality, urgency, teamwork, and execution.
• Support the training and development of Crew Members.
• Help maintain PepperJax standards for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and restaurant readiness.
• Keep the team organized and focused when things get busy.
• Help resolve guest concerns and make sure guests leave with a positive experience.
• Communicate problems, staffing needs, and opportunities to restaurant management.
• Hold yourself and your teammates accountable to expectations.
• Help open, operate, and close the restaurant according to PepperJax standards.

This isn't a position where you stand back and tell everyone else what to do.

What We're Looking For

You must be 18 or older and able to work a restaurant leadership schedule based on the needs of the restaurant.

The position is active and hands-on. You'll spend most of your shift on your feet and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and performing the physical responsibilities of restaurant operations.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who gets what this role requires, wants the responsibility, and has the ability to do it well.
