Job Description

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a highly technical PeopleSoft HCM Test Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead functional, regression, and integration testing for a complex PeopleSoft HCM environment, manage a team of testers, and drive test automation strategy using PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) This role requires strong collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing practical dashboards and data views to support testing insights and quality metrics, while ensuring high-quality delivery across current on-premises deployments and preparing for future migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering reliable, mission-critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end test strategy, planning, scheduling, and execution for PeopleSoft HCM enhancements, releases, patching, and support work, with strong emphasis on regression and integration testing.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the test team, including work assignments, coaching, deliverable review, risk management, status reporting, and removal of blockers.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test schedules, entry and exit criteria, and release-readiness checkpoints aligned with development, business, and environment dependencies.
  • Partner closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, define test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and ensure timely testing feedback across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) automation for HCM business processes using record-and-playback, reusable tests and test cases, variables, reserved words, and data-driven validations.
  • Build and maintain robust PTF assets for components, pages, prompts, scrolls, and grids, Process Scheduler activities, queries, interfaces, and end-to-end business workflows.
  • Configure and support PTF environments, including coordination of Integration Broker connectivity, security, web profile settings, runtime options, execution logs, and migration of PTF test assets across PeopleSoft environments.
  • Stand up and continuously improve the test automation setup, standards, naming conventions, reusable libraries, test data approach, and regression packs for PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Lead defect triage, retesting, and root-cause discussions, and provide clear release-quality assessments and go/no-go recommendations backed by execution results and defect trends.
  • Use Azure DevOps Boards (ADO) to manage work items, bugs, traceability, dependencies, queries, dashboards, and release and test status reporting.
  • Build meaningful dashboards, views, and metrics to monitor coverage, pass/fail trends, defect aging, environment readiness, and overall release health for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and apply complementary tools such as Tricentis where beneficial for test management, automation acceleration, or broader enterprise regression coverage.
  • Support current on-premises PeopleSoft HCM testing operations and help prepare test practices and assets for future OCI-hosted deployments or migration activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of software QA/testing experience, including experience leading test teams or large testing workstreams for enterprise applications.
  • Strong (hands-on) experience testing PeopleSoft HCM applications
  • Expertise with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF), including test assets such as tests, test cases, logs, and runtime options; record-and-playback automation; and use of variables and reserved words to support reusable, stable regression suites.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret testing and delivery data, create useful views and dashboards, and turn results into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Desired Skills

  • Experience leading large-scale regression and integration testing across customizations, interfaces, batch processes, security roles, reports, and end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience creating detailed test schedules and coordinating testing dependencies with development, business, environment, and support teams.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps Boards (ADO) for backlog management, defect tracking, work item updates, queries, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Experience working in SAFe or other scaled agile delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of Tricentis tools, especially Tosca and qTest, for enterprise test automation and test management.
  • Familiarity with PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image validation, tax updates, and release/regression strategy for PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Experience supporting automation setup, governance, and continuous improvement for enterprise QA organizations.
  • Experience preparing PeopleSoft environments and test assets for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migration or OCI-hosted operations.
  • ISTQB, SAFe, or equivalent QA/test leadership certification.

  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Work Environment: Onsite/Hybrid as required by the contract and program environment.
  • This is a full-time, W2 position.
