Astute Business Solutions is a leading Oracle Partner founded and managed by former PeopleSoft professionals with more than 20+ years of experience delivering enterprise ERP solutions. We specialize in PeopleSoft, Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, Banner, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

In addition to traditional ERP consulting, Astute is investing heavily in Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for PeopleSoft customers. We are building next-generation AI-powered applications that automate complex finance and accounting processes using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Document AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Location: Remote (U.S. Based)

Employment Type: Part-Time Consultant (Potential to Convert to Full-Time)

Duration: 4–6 Months (Possible Extension)

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Compensation: $75–$85 per hour (DOE) + Travel Reimbursement

Travel: Occasional Client Travel (10–20%)

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Travel & Expense Functional Consultant with extensive PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 experience to help design, validate, and implement an innovative GenAI-powered Travel & Expense Automation Solution.

This is a unique opportunity to combine deep functional consulting expertise with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence.

Our GenAI platform will automate one of the most time-consuming finance processes performed by large enterprises—credit card expense reconciliation.

The selected consultant will work directly with our product development team to design functional requirements, validate business processes, and ensure seamless integration with the PeopleSoft Travel & Expense module.

GenAI Product Initiative

Astute Business Solutions is developing an AI-powered expense reconciliation platform that will:

• Automatically import and process hundreds or thousands of corporate credit card statements every month.

• Reconcile transactions against PeopleSoft Travel & Expense reports.

• Match employee expenses with corporate card transactions using AI.

• Support major global credit card providers, including:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

• Process transactions across multiple currencies.

• Identify missing receipts, duplicate charges, policy violations, and unmatched transactions.

• Recommend automatic matching and exception handling using GenAI.

• Generate reconciliation reports and approval workflows.

• Enable finance departments to quickly reconcile expenses and pay credit card companies accurately and on time.

• Reduce manual reconciliation effort by more than 90% while improving accuracy and compliance.

This position offers the opportunity to influence the design of an innovative AI product that will be marketed to PeopleSoft customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Travel & Expense (FSCM 9.2).

• Configure and support:

  • Employee Expense Reports

  • Travel Authorizations

  • Cash Advances

  • Corporate Credit Card Integration

  • Expense Types

  • Approval Workflows

  • Expense Reimbursements

• Analyze existing expense management business processes and recommend best practices.

• Work closely with the GenAI development team to define business rules and functional requirements.

• Validate AI-generated expense matching and reconciliation results.

• Define reconciliation rules for Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other corporate card providers.

• Support multi-currency expense processing and international reimbursement scenarios.

• Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for enhancements and integrations.

• Perform Functional Testing, SIT, UAT, and production validation.

• Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing system enhancements.

• Configure approval workflows, business rules, and security.

• Participate in PeopleSoft Image upgrades, PUM updates, and release planning.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Human Resources, and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 10+ years of PeopleSoft Functional Consulting experience.

• Extensive experience implementing and supporting PeopleSoft Travel & Expense (FSCM 9.2).

• Strong understanding of:

  • Travel Authorizations

  • Expense Reports

  • Cash Advances

  • Corporate Credit Card Processing

  • Expense Types

  • Approval Workflow

  • Expense Reimbursement

  • Multi-Currency Transactions

  • Corporate Travel Policies

• Experience integrating Travel & Expense with:

  • Accounts Payable

  • General Ledger

  • Project Costing

  • Human Resources

  • Payroll

• Experience gathering business requirements and preparing Functional Design Documents.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.

• Experience implementing Corporate Credit Card integrations.

• Experience with Visa, Mastercard, and American Express corporate card programs.

• Experience with global expense management and multi-currency environments.

• Experience supporting PeopleSoft Images and PUM upgrades.

• Working knowledge of PeopleTools.

• Exposure to AI, Intelligent Automation, OCR, or Document AI technologies is a strong plus.

• Oracle PeopleSoft certification is preferred.
