Job Description

We are Creditspring, a new way of borrowing that focuses on its members and provides them with safe and efficient short-term financial products.

We're a fast-growing FCA-regulated consumer credit company. We have members, not customers and we take a lot of pride in that!

As one of the UK’s only subscription finance company in the market, we truly have a unique value proposition. Our mission is very clear; to improve the financial stability and resilience of our members. We do this through the products we provide, the partnerships we have, and our educational content. We want our members, and everyone in the UK to be able to better manage their finances and steer them away from high-cost, unregulated credit options.

We’re a world-class, well-funded, diverse team from over 20 different countries that believes in the product we’re building and the service we’re providing for our members. We’ve grown significantly in the last 18 months and are evolving our Marketing structure to reflect that.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled People & Talent Partner to be our sole People team representative in Bengaluru. This is a hybrid role combining full HR generalist responsibility for our Bengaluru population with ownership of the Talent Acquisition Partner function for all Bengaluru hiring.

You will be the on-the-ground face of the People team locally, working closely with the wider UK-based People team and Bengaluru leadership to ensure our people practices and recruitment activity are delivered to a high standard, and are compliant with Indian employment law.

The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on generalist who is equally comfortable running a recruitment pipeline as they are advising a manager on an employee relations matter, and who thrives operating autonomously as the sole People presence on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary People partner for the Bengaluru office, providing trusted HR guidance and supporting employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent while building strong talent pipelines and delivering an outstanding candidate experience.

  • Coach and support managers on people matters, including performance management, employee relations, organisational change, and the application of HR policies and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with Indian employment legislation and statutory requirements, including oversight of local policies, POSH obligations, payroll inputs, employee records, benefits administration, and vendor relationships.

  • Partner with the UK People team to deliver core People processes, including performance and compensation reviews, organisational initiatives, and the localisation of global People policies and programmes.

  • Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace and strengthen alignment between the Bengaluru office and the wider business.

  • Monitor and report on key People and Talent metrics, providing insights to support workforce planning, recruitment effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

  • Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted advisor while contributing to wider People projects and supporting the continued growth of the Bengaluru office.

Requirements:

Essential

  • 5+ years' experience in a broad HR Generalist, People Partner, or People Operations role, ideally as the primary HR contact for a business unit or location.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced technology, fintech, or high-growth environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Indian employment legislation and statutory compliance, including PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH, and associated regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a remote, global People team.

  • Experience using HRIS platforms and recruitment systems to manage people processes and reporting.

  • Strong judgement, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.

Desirable

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or another FCA/regulated environment

  • Experience working within a matrixed or global organisation with an overseas head office

  • Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD, SHRM, or an equivalent Indian HR qualification)

  • Experience building a People or Talent function from the ground up in a growing office

  • Experience using ATS systems that include TeamTailor, Job boards including Naukri and AI sourcing tools to headhunt talent

Personal Attributes:

  • A proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives working autonomously while partnering effectively with a remote, global People team.

  • A trusted relationship builder with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support employees, managers, and candidates at all levels.

  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and sound judgement when handling sensitive people matters.

  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to balance recruitment priorities alongside broader People responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Passionate about creating a positive employee experience and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with Creditspring's values.

About Creditspring

Creditspring is an FCA-regulated, responsible lender, providing a new way to access credit through a model everyone is familiar with: subscription finance.

This new approach to lending makes it fairer, safer and easier to understand. By paying a small, fixed monthly fee, Creditspring members can access up to two no-interest loans per year. The innovative model allows members to know exactly how much they will pay the moment they apply. This eliminates confusing APRs, hidden charges and, even more importantly, the risk of debt spiralling.

More than just providing loans, Creditspring’s custom tools and tips come as standard in all memberships to help members reach better financial stability.

For its pioneering work, Creditspring has been awarded multiple distinctions including as finalist in Nesta Challenges’ Open Up 2020 Challenge, Best Consumer Credit Product at Credit Awards 2024, Responsible Lender of the Year at Credit & Collections Industry Awards 2024 and ranked 12th in The Sunday Times 100 Tech 2025. Creditspring has also been named in the Sifted 100 UK & Ireland (2025) Leaderboard, recognising the fastest growing startups.
